Mike Hain

How often have you heard this...
We need somebody to do something.
I have been that someone who does something on the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council
for over 9 years.
I have been a resident of Los Feliz since 1987. Some of my past accomplishments are:
Organizing Trash cleanups for over 7 years. From just a few people to over 25 people
participating, we are cleaning up this town. In January we partnered with the Atwater
NC and had about 100 participants. This was overwhelming and I was so grateful to see
so many people volunteer to make a better neighborhood.
Emergency Preparedness:
I started the Los Feliz Radio Network to help our neighbors with an easy-to-use family
radio service network designed for emergency use in the event that cellular capabilities
in the area are overwhelmed or out of service.
Crime Prevention:
Helping residents with ways to help avoid the possibility of being a victim by scheduling
meeting with LAPD Northeast Division Senior Lead officer.
Monthly Safety Tips.
Besides being the chair of the Public Health and Safety committee I’m on the following
committees:
1. Budget and Finance
2. Cultural Affairs
3. Environmental Affairs
4. Homelessness
5. Outreach
6. Public Works & Beautification
7. Recreation
I’m also a proud member of the Los Angeles Club for 6 years and a Los Feliz institution
for 100 years.
Future initiatives include:
Start a Neighborhood Watch program with the LAPD.
Partner with the Los Angeles Fire Department to offer Community Emergency
Response Team (CERT) classes. This course teaches empowerment to residents to
prepare in case of unexpected emergencies.
I also enjoy helping others and am, Doing Good in the Neighborhood,
