ERIKA RUTH WITT

I have had the privilege to rent in Los Feliz since moving to LA in 2021. I love the community that I have discovered here - from the solidarity of the neighbors, to the walkability of our area, to the diversity of our local businesses. This led me to get involved with the LF Neighborhood Council last fall, later joining the Housing Committee in January 2023. Having completed an MA in Urban Public Policy in 2020, I returned to my native home of California with the aspiration of contributing to the development of more resilient and socially-just cities: improving access to housing, transportation, and services, and supporting public participation. I have worked as a policy analyst at both the municipal and county-level and understand the ins-and-outs of working with local bureaucracies. If elected, I hope to be a liaison for community members, representing new perspectives and nuance within the governing board, while advocating innovative solutions for issues effecting us all.
