Los Feliz Votes
Chase Puskar

My name is Chase Puskar, and I am running for District D representative for the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council. Los Feliz is a beautiful, historic neighborhood I am proud to call home. As representative on the Governing Board, I would strive to make our community more accessible, equitable, and sustainable.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and have been a Los Feliz resident since returning after college. I currently work as a Systems Engineer at NASA JPL where I work on planetary science missions. I enjoy solving challenging problems, and hope to help address some of the challenges currently facing our neighborhood and our city.
I am a member of the LFNC Transportation and Mobility Committee, where I have advocated for pedestrian safety and accessibility improvements, continued bike infrastructure development, and increased Metro connectivity and frequency. I intend to continue advocating for high-density, carbon-efficient public transportation solutions that have been proven to reduce traffic, noise, and pollution while improving public health and benefitting local businesses.
As a member of the Governing Board, I hope to extend my advocacy to the maintenance and improvement of public spaces in Los Feliz, including neglected District D infrastructure like the Mulholland Fountain and the Griffith Park Pool. I will support community clean up efforts to reduce litter and pollution, and would pull from my experience volunteering with TreePeople to advocate for native habitat restoration projects in the neighborhood, including Griffith Park. I will support policies that protect tenants' rights and increase housing accessibility for the more than 60% of Los Feliz residents that are renters. I will work to provide resources for community members currently facing homelessness, and pressure the city to reform and improve its homeless services. Most importantly, I would strive to work with constituents to understand problems that are important to them, and do my best to find meaningful solutions.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to serve our vibrant, one-of-a-kind community as District D representative, and look forward to continuing to contribute to LFNC committees for the continual improvement of our shared home.
