Caroline Armitage

My name is Caroline Armitage, and I am applying to represent District D in the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council to make important changes in our community.
I moved to Los Feliz in 2009 after buying my house. I have been involved in our neighborhood since then learning about its unique history and meeting neighbors both in person and via a number of social networks.
At this time, I would like to get more hands on as I see some good and bad changes happening in Los Feliz and would like to add my expertise to the discussion. Thus, I am looking to serve as a representative of District D.
I am a CPA and work from home too and am delighted to enjoy all of the public amenities in our area from the incredible library system to the unique stores to Griffith Park’s many facilities including walks.
Over the years, I have seen many changes and would like to get involved in addressing them. For example, traffic has substantially increased not just on the street where I live but throughout our area and some of the initiatives imposed by the department of transportation have not been ideal. I would want to work more closely with my contacts in that department to make safety for our residents, especially the pedestrians, a priority. Also, to get rid of some of the confusion, like over having a 4 way stop sign along with a roundabout. In addition, there is a need to address the construction of so many new properties, many without notice and without adequate parking along with not fitting the style we have come to love in Los Feliz. My mission is to address these and other essential issues in our community. To have real input from the homeowners and residents as our area continues to expand.
Thank you for your consideration, I look forward to joining the LFNC.
